ANSWER:

1.      Media in teaching is a tool or means of teaching or any aids that can be used as messages to achieve learning goals and encourage the implementation of the learning process in students. The types of teaching media that I know areAudio media is related to the sense of hearing such as radio, songs, storytelling, podcasts. Visual learning media emphasizes the delivery of material through visions such as pictures or photos, maps, whiteboards. In addition to visual and audio media, there is also a combination of the two called audio visuals, for example, such as films, TV, video lessons, or performances.

2.      Because in learning to students, teachers must have learning media that includes components of materials and equipment. With the entry of various theories and technologies, learning media continues to experience and appear in various types. And clarify the presentation of messages or information so that it can expedite and improve the learning outcome process, increase and direct the attention of students so that it can lead to learning motivation, more direct interaction between students and their environment.

3.      Good learning media criteria: In accordance with the goal so that the learning media is in accordance with the direction and does not deviate from the goal. Able and skilled at using Whatever media is chosen, the teacher must be able to use the media. The skills in using this learning media can later be passed on to students so that students are also able to skillfully use the selected learning media.

4.      It is very necessary, because in my opinion, with time, especially now in the era of technology, we must be able to develop learning media as creatively as possible. because, in order to trigger students to be more interested in learning or to motivate them by developing learning media, students are more motivated so that their attention to the material will increase. So that students can interact with up-to-date media development which can provide a comprehensive experience from concrete to abstract things, it makes it easier to consume the information conveyed.

1.In understanding foreign cultures, someone needs to understand well the cultures to avoid cultural       conflicts. But, many people are failed to understand the values and customs of foreign cultures. According to your own idea, please explain what do you need to have to understand foreign cultures in order to avoid cultural conflicts.

 

2.How do you define your local cultural is different from foreign culture? Do youthink local and foreign cultures need to be integrated? Please provide your reasons

3.What is stereotype and prejuice? Does it exist in your local culture? Give example?

 

ANSWER:

1. Culture is very diverse, namely in terms of local culture and foreign culture. So, in my opinion, understanding foreign cultures to avoid conflict is that we must know the cultures that are applied to foreign cultures in terms of communication and behavior. Intercultural communication teaches us how to communicate with people who have different cultures from us. The reason is by studying intercultural communication, we can more easily adapt, expand relationships, add insight into other cultures and also avoid conflicts between cultures.

2. The definition of local culture with foreign culture is in terms of customs, language, religion, and of course very different. because culture is complex, abstract, and broad. In my opinion, foreign cultures do not need to be integrated because they can influence or diminish the culture of our ancestors. Therefore, we maintain our culture because in the eyes of the world, our local culture is known as a nation that upholds excellent customs.

3. Stereotypes are excessive generalizations about a person based on the characteristics that exist in their group such as race, ethnicity, or religion. Meanwhile, prejudice is a negative attitude, belief, feeling, and judgment towards a group and all members of the group. In the local culture of course there is. because between stereotypes and prejudice that exist in each person depending on their attitude. In terms of the example, there is a stereotype that Unilak students (Lancang Kuning University) are smart people, so when they meet a Unilak student, people think they tend to immediately assume that the Unilak student is a smart person. In fact, the Unilak student was not necessarily as smart as he had imagined. Stereotypes are not always negative. However, stereotypes will always be negative if they are influenced by prejudice. Therefore, stereotypes, prejudice, must be shunned from our hearts and minds. Stereotypes, prejudice are not only errors in thinking, but also the main trigger in divisions between groups.

Culture is a way of life that is developed and owned by a group of people, and is passed down from generation to generation. Culture consists of many elements including religious and political systems, language, customs, dress and works of art.

b.      Interculture

Intercultural is an activity carried out with other people that involves two or more people with different cultures.

c.       Cross culture

A method for conducting comparative studies of different cultures.

d.      Multiculturalism is the diversity of world cultures that focus on accepting the diversity of various cultures in society that involve values, norms, social ways, customs, and others.

 

2.      Give one example of cultural conflict and offer the solution for its adjustment!

Examples of cultural conflicts include conversations between several people of different cultures or ethnicities, caused by inappropriate or inappropriate communication / speaking procedures, courtesy that contains emotional consequences. The solution to the problem is, we need to focus on the core of the problem, then calm down, think logically and have a cool head, open a conversation / discussion, and explain both parties well.

Covid 19 is a type of infectious disease where the disease originates from animals but it infects humans which can spread from one human to another and this covid 19 disease attacks the respiratory system. Corona virus itself has a diameter of 125 nanometers or 0.125 micrometers which is found by a person named Anthony R. fehr and Stanley Perlman. This new virus was discovered after the spread that began in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. This virus continues to spread throughout the world. one of them in our country Indonesia. Many mortality rates occur with this infectious disease. therefore, we must prevent transmission of the COVID-19 virus.

One way to prevent exposure to the virus that causes COVID-19 is to maintain endurance. That is, you must stay healthy while undergoing daily activities. According to Dr. Sitta, the immune system is very important in preventing exposure to the virus in the body. This is because when the immune system is low, all viruses more easily attack the body, both flu viruses and SARS-CoV-2. Maintaining endurance is actually easy, that is living a healthy lifestyle. Like, regular exercise, eat nutritious foods and meet nutrients, meet the needs of vitamins, such as vitamins C and D.

Transmission of COVID-19 can occur when the sufferer's respiratory droplets stick to the hands or skin of people who are close to them. Meanwhile, not a few people who unconsciously touch their eyes, nose and mouth with dirty hands. washing hands is one of the ways that we avoid this disease. Try to follow the steps to wash your hands properly. If running water and soap are not available, you use a hand sanitizer just in case.

Wearing a mask when in a crowded place may be necessary. This is one way to prevent COVID-19 that may be suffered among the crowd and they are not aware. Also, the humidity of the throat is important enough to reduce the risk of exposure to the virus in your body. You can start by meeting your body's fluid needs to keep your throat moist, by drinking water.

In conclusion, COVID-19 is a result of infection due to the entry of this virus into the human body. COVIS-19 will attack the respiratory system, and also other disorders in each individual who has certain diseases. So it is like if you already have certain diseases will become more severe if exposed to this virus in the body. so as to avoid meeting people who are already suffering or positive co-19, wear a mask when you want to travel and wash your hands frequently.
